Anke Freimuth-Wildman

Anke Freimuth-Wildman is the winemaker at Steppe Cellars. A native German, she grew up in the Mosel Valley, famous for its world class Riesling wines. Exposure to winegrowing - and winemaking in her family's 400 year old winery at an early age, led her to study Viticulture and Enology at the prestigious Geisenheim Institute on the Rhein River. She has crafted wines in Germany, Switzerland, and since 1990 in Washington State.
